It is extremely important to remember that girl cat names are much different to boy cat names.
For a start, if you were a girl cat, would you like to be called “Bruce” or “Dwayne”? Every time you are yelled at by your owner for doing something apparently wrong (which was merely being curious, of course!) you would feel the stabs of pain associated with being referred to by the wrong gender.
This is why you have arrived at this site and this is why you care about naming your new female cat properly.
Versatility of the Cat Name
You need to pick some female cat names that sound good when yelled in anger and when said in a soft, soothing voice when your cat is curled up on your lap purring.
For this reason, calling your new cat “Arnold Schwarzenegger” just wouldn’t work. It’s easy to yell and sounds cool in a male’s angry voice, but it doesn’t sound right as you tenderly pat your kitty cat.
A name like “Mother Theresa” also doesn’t work, because you can’t yell it out as a swear word, and we all know that cats get up to trouble allllll the time, so it’s important that your name is discipline-savvy.
